Quick Guide On How To Profit With Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate commissions can be anywhere between 1% and 100% of the purchase price. You tend to find that physical products pay lower percentage commissions whilst digital products such as eBooks and courses will pay a higher commission.

This is simply because the digital vendor has very little costs involved to run their business and thus they can afford to be more generous with their commissions.

In addition digital vendors tend to have other products inside a sales funnel, which will often be of much higher value.

They might offer you 100% commissions on the “front-end” product, however, that might only sell for $5, whereas their “back-end” product might sell for $97. In this case they might only offer you 25% commission on the back-end product or even none at all.

They are basically using the front-end product to attract as many people into their sales funnel as possible – and offering 100% commission to affiliates is a key way of helping them do that.

Products to promote

There is certainly no shortage of products out there to promote, whether you’re interesting in digital or physical.

Actually, that brings up an interesting debate… Is it better to promote physical products or digital products such as eBooks, services, courses etc?

Below is an example of service digital product

Some examples of digital business | Download Scientific Diagram

There are advantages and drawbacks to both – and it will depend on things like where your particular interests lie and what niche you are in. For example, you are in a niche such as internet marketing then digital could be the way to go. Many people prefer digital products because you often get paid more generous commissions and they are often paid to you immediately – and that’s what we are going to concentrate on primarily in this report.

However, if you’re in a niche such as diet or weight loss for example then there might be an opportunity to promote both digital and physical products.

Product selection

Ok – so let’s get back to the primary focus on choosing products to promote as an affiliate.

This is one of the most important parts of being an affiliate because when you choose the right product to promote then you can make an awful lot of money and your customers will love you for it too.

On the other hand, if you promote something that doesn’t quite capture the imagination of your target market then you’ll probably not make many sales.

Also, promoting bad stuff is a sure-fire way to lose the trust of your prospects and fail in your ventures, so it’s important to do your very best to choose products that your audience will both find appealing and which deliver what your audience actually wants.

Let’s cut to the chase and look at how to go about selecting the RIGHT sort of products.

Golden rule number one: Promote the product that your prospects will get the most value from, NOT the one which you think will make you the most money.

There’s a general philosophy shared by many of the most successful marketers and that is that you should always put your customer’s interests above your own.

Let me ask you a question. If you knew for certain that you could promote a particular product and make $1,000 in commission even though you knew the product was crap, would you still promote it?

The answer should be NO because even though you can make a lot of money up front people won’t make the mistake of trusting your recommendation’s twice if you promote total garbage.

If you promote GOOD products and place other people’s interests ahead of your own then you’ll earn the trust of your prospects and people will always consider your recommendations.

Part of being an affiliate is being a trusted advisor. Let’s say you’re using email marketing as the main way of driving traffic to the offers you’re promoting as an affiliate.

The people on your email list are placing their trust in you to recommend offers to them which you believe can help them.

Placing their trust in you

There are thousands of products out there – some good, some bad and some that aren’t relevant to your audience.

If you can point people in the direction of product’s that can genuinely help them or which they will find useful/interesting/relevant etc then you’re setting yourself up for success.

“So if I’m a trusted advisor, does that mean I have to purchase and review every product before I promote it?”

Nope – not necessarily. There are several ways around this and sometimes you might choose to take an educated gamble on a product.

Many people who produce digital products will be willing to give away a review copy to affiliates. So, you can check out the product for free and then decide if it’s something your audience will want to buy and whether you can give it your recommendation (or not).

The offer’s average conversion rate

Some products can be great but have a rubbish sales page, meaning that very few people actually buy. You want to be looking for offers that convert at a fairly decent rate… so if a product converts at 6% then (on average) six out of every ten people who view the product are going to buy it.

If you promoted a product that only converted at 2% then clearly you’re going to make fewer sales, even with the same traffic.

Obviously bear in mind that conversion rates vary a lot, even for the same product and can largely depend on the traffic source. Imagine promoting a dog training product to an internet marketing mailing list.

Sure, some of those people might have dogs but you’re probably not going to make too many sales because it’s untargeted! Right?

Similarly, if you promote an offer to a “dead” audience (for example a mailing list you have mistreated by promoting crappy offers to them all the time) then you’re going to achieve a below average conversion rate.

So, when you’re looking at a product’s claimed conversion rate you need to remember that you’re not always going to match it.

Sometimes you’ll achieve higher than the average conversion rate and sometimes it’ll be the other way around.

There isn’t always logic to the actual conversion rate you achieve, either. Sometimes for example you’ll promote a really good product that also has a good average conversion rate and you’ll make very few sales. There isn’t always a reason for it – sometimes an offer just captures the imagination for your prospects and sometimes it just doesn’t.

Don’t worry about your actual conversion rates on individual promotions too much. Sure, look for products that have decent average conversion rates but don’t take it as a given that those are the rates you’ll actually achieve.

What is the percentage commission – and how much does this actually equate to per sale?

If you’re choosing between two $10 products and product-A offers you 100% commission and product-B only offers you 50% then logic would dictate that you should promote product-A….

BUT you also need to factor in backend sales. So – if product-B turns out to have a backend product behind it that sells for $97 and offers 50% commissions, whereas product-A only offers you 10% commissions on a $20 backend product then you could make more money with product-B, even though it offers you lower commissions up front.

Remember also to take into account the selling price. Would you prefer to earn 100% commissions on a $5 product or 10% commissions on a $1,000 a product?

Don’t ignore refund rates

A high refund rate would indicate that there is something wrong with the product and people aren’t happy with their purchases for whatever reason, so take a higher than average refund rate as a warning signs that it might be a product to avoid.

Look for Recurring affiliate commissions

Some products charge a monthly fee for access and thus pay affiliate’s recurring monthly products. These ones are great to look out for because you can make a sale once and get paid for it over and over again. Rack up a decent amount of sales on recurring income products and you can quickly be looking at a rather healthy monthly income.

The following are well performing digital products with recurring commission.

The money is in the list!

You’ve heard that expression before, right?

As an affiliate marketer, building a list of prospects is fundamental to your success. There are certainly other ways of making affiliate sales but many would say that doing so through having an email list can be one of the most effective – and here are some of the reasons.

  • You’ll easily get messages to customers.
  • Get visitors to return.
  • Email is personal.
  • You own your email list.
  • Email builds trust.
  • Marketing automation

An email list literally allows you to make money on tap. Once you have a list you can simply find a relevant product to promote, type out an email, press send and make instant sales.

Getting people onto your list

There are probably hundreds of different ways out there of doing this, including solo ads, Facebook ads, article marketing, forum marketing, linking your squeeze page to your blog – etc.

If you’re just starting out and can afford to spend a bit of money on advertising then many people would recommend solo ads.

If you don’t know what a ‘solo ad’ is then it’s really simple – it’s just where you pay somebody who already has a list to send out an email to their subscribers promoting your free offer.

Solo ads are popular amongst many because they can provide you with an opportunity to build your list pretty quickly.

Most solo ad sellers will offer you a certain number of guaranteed clicks. So, if somebody guarantees you 200 clicks from the solo ad and your squeeze page converts on average at 45% then you’re going to get 90 new people joining your list. Once a solo ad has been sent you usually get the traffic pretty quickly, so it’s possible to build a list of hundreds or even thousands of people in a matter of days. A key aspect of being successful with solo ads is knowing your figures – especially your conversion rates.

If you know the average conversion rate of your squeeze page and backend offers then you can work out how much you can afford to spend on solo ads.

It’s important to TEST your funnel thoroughly so that you can improve on it. You can split test different offers and work out which ones convert the best.

Take the following example:

You’ve got a free report you’re giving away to build your list and you make two different squeeze pages promoting the report.

You do a simple 50/50 split test on your offer, which simply means you send 50% of your traffic to one squeeze page and 50% to the other (there are plenty of tools out there that enable you to do this)

You buy a solo ad with 200 guaranteed clicks, so 100 of those people will see the first squeeze page and 100 will see the second.

When you’ve done the test you find that the first squeeze page converted at 32% (so 32 people subscribed) and the second one converted at 48% (so 48 people subscribed).

As you can see the second squeeze page converted at a much higher rate than the first.

So imagine if you had not bothered testing and had simply thrown up squeeze page number one. You’d have lost out on quite a few subscribes, and as you bought more and more solo ads you’d lose out on even more.

PLEASE test because it’ll make your chances of success so much higher.

Not got any money to spend on advertising?

If you’re trying to build your list and don’t have any money to spend at all then there are other options.

A good one can be forum marketing, where you sign up to forums in your niche and post to those sites whilst including a signature link to your squeeze page.

Forum marketing works well for many people, although you need to make sure that you get your strategy right. (Don’t spam)

The key to forum marketing is to forget you are actually there to promote your squeeze page. Instead you should simply join in the forum conversations and become an active member of the community.

Demonstrate your knowledge but NEVER mention your squeeze page or any of your products. Your signature link will do the “selling” for you because people will see your posts, be impressed by your knowledge and thus decide to click on your signature link, which will take them to your squeeze page.

NOTE: it’s always important to check out forum rules and establish whether they allow signature links to external websites because some don’t.

Recap;

In all honesty it doesn’t take a genius to make sales as an affiliate. It’s all about selecting the right products and then promoting it to the right people, in the right way.

I hope that this article will help you to do that. Whatever you do now make sure you go away and work hard on your business. Whilst affiliate marketing can provide one of the easiest ways of making money online it still requires considerable effort in order to be successful.

As you become more experienced as an affiliate marketer you’ll start to learn and get a “feel” for what works and what doesn’t.

Proven Methods On Building Your Email List That Converts

From my experience online, many of us are not actively building email list, and most people are not sure how to go about setting one up and building it.

To get this on the way, you will just need to focus on certain steps and take action.

So let’s get started!

Step 1:

Funnel creation;

A funnel involves some steps that lead up to the conversion. These steps are a series of pages that direct your visitors to the page that serves as the end goal, which then allows the visitors to actually sign up to your list.

The first page you need is a squeeze page.

The squeeze page is the email capture page, designed to squeeze a visitor’s email address from them by offering something valuable in return where you will need to put your autoresponder opt-in form so that visitors can sign up to your list. This is the most important page that you will need because you encourage visitors to opt-in to an email or subscriber list to collect more information about the product or service featured on the main squeeze page.

When creating your squeeze page, make it as unique as you can. The more it’s different from other pages and the more it stands out, the better it will convert for you.

A successful squeeze page doesn’t just ask for your visitor’s email address. Squeeze pages also provide a good reason visitors should provide their personal information in exchange for whatever valuable offer you have available. The offer should be irresistible to justify the need to ask for your visitor’s email address. And as a result, you will have the opportunity to push them further down your funnel and build a lasting relationship with them. (As you can see the example below)

A Beginner's Guide to Squeeze Pages (Templates & Examples)
Sqeeze page

When creating a squeeze page I have found that very simple pages work the best, pages which have a big headline, a short sub-headline, and the opt-in form, nothing much else on the page. Keeping it simple and to the point helps to boost conversion rates.

What can you offer on your squeeze page?

One thing that you will need in conjunction with your squeeze page is some kind of free gift or free offer to entice visitors to sign up to your list. This can be e-book, videos or anything that is on a hot topic within your niche.

Once you know what your free offer is, you can then write your squeeze page headline to tell your visitors what it is that they will be receiving once they fill in the opt-in form.

Ebook Landing Page Template

And when they do join your list you can then deliver the free offer or gift to them through your autoresponder with follow-up email series which I will explain later.

Please note that the free gift or free offer should be of good quality. Give them relevant offer or gift. Also don’t use a gift or offer which is already been given away by hundreds of other people. You will want it to be as unique as possible so that your subscribers will enjoy it and be able to use the information is provides. This is important if you want to build up trust with your subscribers.

 Good conversion rate for a squeeze page;

A conversion rate records the percentage of users who have completed a desired action.

Conversion rates are an effective way of comparing and contrasting the performance of your squeeze page.

The higher you can have it, the better it is.

The average squeeze page conversion rate was 2.35%, and yet the top 25% are converting at 5.31% or higher. As you can in the table below.

What Is a Good Conversion Rate? It's Higher Than You Think!

But overall, I aim for at least 40% conversions. That means that if I had 100 visitors to the squeeze page, 40 of them will subscribe to my list. Then I keep testing and tweaking the page until I get the highest conversions that I can.

To create an attractive squeeze page from scratch, you can use a variety squeeze page builder to help you do it. However I would suggest using Getresponse Web Builder or Groove Funnel.

With GetResponse, you can create fantastic pages without having expert IT skills! And GrooveFunnels is a new suite of software applications to build sales funnels and websites developed by Groove Digital, which consists of the squeeze page named GroovePages.

One-Time Offer Page:

Now that you have a squeeze page with a free offer, it’s time to consider what your one-time offer (OTO) will be. Remember, this is a paid product, usually within the $10 – $20 range, but that price point can be different depending on your niche and the product.

10 Sales Funnel Templates For Every Industry - Seotomize

The product should be related to your free offer, so it should be either on the same topic or a similar topic, something which your subscribers will be interested in. If your subscribers sign-up to receive your free gift on a particular topic, then it would only make sense to offer them more information in the form of a paid product on that same topic since you already know they are interested in it.

Remember, this product should be high quality, something which the buyers of will be thankful for purchasing.

Also make sure that your OTO contains useful information that the buyers can put to use, otherwise you may run the risk of disappointing your buyers.

You will need to create a sales page to offer this OTO along with a download page, both of which can be created using Getresponse Web Builder.

Within your autoresponder account, which we will talk about later in this article, you will want to set the opt-in form redirect option to automatically send subscribers to this OTO as soon as they submit the sign-up form. When a visitor comes to your squeeze page, if they sign up to your list, they will then be immediately taken to view your one-time offer.

Down-Sell Offer:

The down-sell offer can either be on a slightly different topic as your OTO, or it could be a smaller version of your OTO, either way it should be cheaper in price than your OTO.

This offer is to capture more buyers who did not purchase your OTO but who still want to purchase something from you. Without this down-sell page you will lose out on a lot of sales.

This offer will also need a sales page and a download page.

When visitors are viewing your one-time offer but decide to pass it up, you will want to capture their attention using an exit popup which displays when they try to close the page to tell them about your down-sell offer. If they decide to stay on the page to view the offer they will be redirected to your down-sell sales page.

At this point you now have all of the web pages needed to start building your list and making money from new subscribers. The next step is to set-up your autoresponder in order to properly capture and keep those subscribers.

Step #2: Autoresponder Set-Up

How to use GetResponse autoresponder - Quora

Autoresponders are messages sent automatically to subscribers based on time or a particular event. Using autoresponders correctly can be a very powerful and simple part of a complete email list building.

In order to actually build an email list properly you will need autoresponder software that will allow you to create professional emails with a drag-and-drop email creator — even if graphic design isn’t your thing. In that case I would suggest to use, GetResponse.

Once you have account and have created your first list within the account, there are a few things which you will need to set-up in order to make the most out of your new list. The first would be to make sure that within your list settings you set the opt-in settings to “single opt-in”, not double opt-in. Single opt-in will allow visitors to enter their email address and become subscribed to your list immediately, while double opt-in will force your visitors to have to check their email inbox to confirm signing up to your list, which will dramatically lower the number of subscribers that you will receive.

The second task to do within your new list is to create at least 5 follow-up emails which will start being send automatically to new subscribers as soon as they subscribe. The first email should be a welcome email, thanking the person for subscribing and containing a link to your free gift. You may also want to promote your one-time offer within this email as well, to remind them about it.

The second – fifth emails should be a combination of quality content as well as promotions for your OTO and possibly other products of yours or affiliate products.

Attract And Grow Your Online Audience Faster

You can’t grow online if you don’t attract your audience.

Now, the question will be how can you attract your audience so that you can grow online?

Basically, to attract your audience it is essential to understand what they are looking for online.

Once you have identified what they are looking for, it will be easy to graft something for them with an appropriate tone.

To accomplish this you must know which content they are engaging the most!

Now, after discovering the content they are engaging the most, the following tips will help you attract and grow your audience.

Make them a part of your story

Making them a part of your story will make them feel that you are talking to them directly.

You have to impress them from the beginning with the opening lines so that that they keep reading your story. There are several ways to engage them, one way is to ask questions from the beginning that will create intrigue.

For example, you can ask “Could you ever think……?” or “Did you know that…..?”

Use narrative and character voices

Use narrative and character voices

The narrative voice is the perspective of the person who is telling the story which is YOU. The voice the reader ‘hears’ in the writing.

This is an essential element, because it allows the audience to relate to the character telling the story and understand the motivations and desires of the characters, as well

This means no matter the story you are telling, make sure your writings will make your audience feel as if you are there talking to them. Don’t be a salesperson or a marketer; just write a story that will attract them and then you can promote whatever you want them to buy, that is why we said earlier ‘you must understand what they are looking for’.

Use simple examples

Do not use complicated examples. You can use specific examples as evidence of positive results.

As we know simple examples will always make readers to understand and memorize difficult concepts.

Let me give you my personal example and experience. I wrote an artcle about Tips On Building a Social Media Presence, one of the tips is to set plans and goals, I gave an example of “pursuing a beautiful girl” It will be very difficult to succeed on your mission if you don’t have good plans and goals, like; plans can be to wear nice shoes, nice jeans with elegant sunglasses, and your goals can be to pass by wherever she is and say “hi beautiful!” so that she can see you with your rhythms and get impressed so that you can get a good starting point!

Sounds good! Right?

It was very easy to make them read the whole story

Write with emotional

Writing something honest and real, your readers will feel what you have felt, so long as we conveyed that emotion in the most truthful way we know-how.

Be Provocative

When someone says something provocative, the effect is similar to a flashing siren. You might not want to look, but you do anyway, and you keep looking. A flashing siren commands everyone’s attention, just like the phrase, “You think that you’re weak?”

But think of your reaction to the siren–you get tense, you go into the hyperactive mode, and you start looking for ways to escape and get out of the way. The siren activates your fight-and-flight mode, and so does hearing a provocative phrase.

The key is to use it sparingly, and once you have your audience’s attention, stop right there. Too much provocative language for too long will trigger your audience’s flight-or-fight mode, and they’ll start resisting your message or tune them out altogether.

Always tell the truth

The reader always subconsciously feels false and becomes unfriendly and suspicious.

Do not give your readers a reason to not trust you.

If the intriguing title hides an advertising article about the treatment of cellulite – the reader not only will not read it but will also leave your site altogether.

Build your email list

5,903 Email List Stock Photos, Pictures & Royalty-Free Images - iStock

A mailing list includes your readers’ email addresses, as well as additional information about them (usually their name, though it may also contain further details).

When you collect emails, you will know that the individual is engaged and interested in which content.

Also depending on the signup process alongside other metrics, these subscribers can be further segmented into different email lists so that the list becomes more personalized.

Email lists have proven to be versatile for driving new traffic by promoting new posts and also resurfacing older posts. They will also let you send out notifications when I add new information to an older post.

Automated follow-up sequences have will allow you to serve your audience with additional content that allows you to keep in contact with people over time so that you end up with higher open and click-through rates.

I have mentioned the free email marketing tools to build your email list in this article; Email Marketing: It’s Not as Difficult as You Think

Whatever the tool you choose, make sure you have the option to track email activity in real-time, also you can learn your contacts’ engagement patterns and optimize your email list to match your audience preferences, analyze open and click-through rates (CTRs), compare campaigns in a side-by-side view and monitor desktop vs. mobile performance.

Now how are you going to get more new readers? (Expand your audience)

Is by marketing your content;

Content marketing

content marketing

Content marketing is a marketing strategy used to attract, engage, and retain an audience by creating and sharing relevant articles. This approach establishes expertise, promotes your site awareness, and keeps your site top of mind when it’s time to acquire new knowledge.

Engaging content marketing creates preference through thought leadership by making you a trusted source of information and education. You can also create preference through relationships, which are strengthened whenever your content entertains or helps your readers.

Content marketing should help your customers, not sell to them. When you freely give your audience something so valuable that they’d be willing to pay for it, you build trust, which, ultimately, is your most powerful selling tool. As we said earlier to attract your audience you don’t need to write as a salesperson or a marketer.

There are many content marketing tools; I have mentioned the recommended tool in this article – The Popular Recommended SEO Tool or Content Marketing Tools

Reasons To Use A Cloud Server For Your Business

In a simple definition, the cloud server is a virtual server running in a cloud computing environment. This server is built hosted and delivered through a cloud computing platform.

But how?

There are physical servers somewhere with a high specification, that providing different hosting services including creating and hosting virtual computers, storage, database, virtual network infrastructure and so much more.

That physical server is owned by the service provider and those who are paying for those services are called tenants. Basically, tenants pay for the services they want. For instance, tenants might pay for hosting a mail server, the mail server will be created within the physical server, and because this mail server has been created with the physical server it will be a virtual server or a cloud server which is running in a cloud environment because the tenant doesn’t own the physical part of the server. However, tenants will enjoy the same feeling as if they are using a physical server with faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale.

What is the catch here!

In the traditional way, companies investing in expensive on-premises servers and infrastructures. For the management of the servers, they need to spend a lot of money in the beginning.

Equipment and IT staff

The cost includes the purchase of equipment and IT staff, just to name a few. But cloud servers offer many advantages like help reduce infrastructure costs, increase uptime, and reduce the amount of time spent managing servers.

Examples of those service providers are Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.

Now, without further ado, let’s see some reasons to use why to use cloud servers for our business.

1. No Upfront Cash

The first reason to go for a cloud server is to save money. Unlike a conventional system, cloud machines don’t require you to invest in high-end machines. All you need to do is pay for whatever you are using.

2. No Cooling Required

Since you don’t have to deal with all on-premises equipment, you can utilize a server that an experienced provider can handle. Hence, you don’t have to install cooling systems to cool down the servers and the connected or related equipment. For private companies, this is an immense benefit as they can contribute that financial plan on different undertakings to grow their business.

3. Software Updates

Software Update

Another great advantage of cloud servers is that the software they run receives updates on a regular basis. You don’t need to pay for buying the software updates as this will be taken care of by the service provider. This can save you a lot of time and effort.

Opting for updates is based on the computing needs of your business. So, this is another reason to go for this alternative instead of on-premises equipment.

4. No Surprise Costs

This is another huge advantage of these systems. You can easily predict the costs of IT support. You don’t need to worry about server outages. Although the cloud service comes with its own costs, you can enjoy cost savings over the long haul. That’s the reason many companies don’t manage in-house hardware anymore.

5. Easily Scalable Solution

Scalable Solution

Cloud servers offer a scalable solution to meet the changing needs of a small or large business. On the other hand, these systems require a fast, stable internet connection. As long as you have a fast connection, you can get the most out of these servers. Also, you can buy more bandwidth and other system resources by paying a small monthly fee.

Long story short, these are some of the reasons to choose a cloud server instead of an on-site system for your small business. You can try out these systems if you don’t want to manage on-premises systems.

Using Webinars for Your Business

Webinars are a good strategy to extend your reach because the webinar platform will lead you straight to your goals. With webinars, you can connect with a lot of people.

However, you can overlook the benefits you can get by running webinars for your business.

Benefits:

  • If it is done correctly you can engage more people because of the simplicity of video explanation of any product.
  • Easy to build an email list because most of the time your prospect will have to sign up to participate in the event
  • Easy to make a sale if you will teach and sell instead of sell and teach. This means you will have to concentrate on your content by delivering value by teaching them what exactly your product is, how it can solve their problems and how they can use your product to solve their problems, that will make your audience curious to try your product because you have targeted what they are looking for.
  • Ability to have communicated with hundreds of people virtually. Let me ask you; how will you feel to have 1 on 1 conversation with someone who is teaching you how to solve a certain problem? Interesting right! Your prospect will feel the same way and that will be a very effective way to earn new customers.

Using webinar to grow your business

To get better results, it is essential to have a professional website with free content to capture leads and live training with helpful information.

Set sign up with email for your audience to participate in your webinar, so that everyone who signs up gets added to your email list automatically.

Develop a good relationship with your audience. We all know that most of the time people buy products from someone they know and trust. This means when you are presenting your webinar make sure people feel like they know you and trust you.

Monetizing your webinar

You will have to choose hot topics with the title that will grab attention; like, “HOW TO…” or “HOW TO DO…” meanwhile you focus on the product that sells high commission for you.

Promote your webinar as an educational event that will increase value to people’s lives rather than a product introduction.

It is recommended to use your own product which will give you 100% profit. Don’t worry this works for affiliate products too.

At the end of your webinar offer FREE support and consultation within the first few days for those who will buy the product.

Tactics

Use a unique selling proposition, so that you can stand out from the clutter. As you know, there is a lot of webinar running online and your prospects will have to choose which webinar to concentrate with. If your webinar sounds like everyone else you will lose attraction

But what if other people host webinars with the same topic as yours?

That is where your unique selling proposition comes into play. A unique selling proposition includes being different in providing content and offers. For instance, your content should include in-depth free training, explaining in depth the benefits and promising to deliver the benefits.

– Use triggers. You can use the following triggers to draw their attention;

– Urgency (the item will expire within …….)

– Business opportunity (I only have 2 spots available)

– Send an email to remind them hours before you start the webinar. The email title should        be like; “we are currently overbooked, so get here early I have reserved your seat!”

Or in your reminder email, give them bullet point like; “this is what I am going to teach you    to do today”

What Type of Web Hosting Do You Need?

There are numerous web hosting choices accessible these days:

  • Shared hosting. Shared hosting is perfect for entry-level website hosting. …
  • Virtual private server (VPS) hosting. …
  • Dedicated server hosting. …
  • Cloud hosting. …
  • Managed hosting. …
  • Colocation hosting…

Shared hosting: As shared hosting has the reputation of being cheapest form of web hosting, it is also the most popular hosting form all over the world. If we analyze the reason of shared hosting’s popularity, we come to know some facts as ‘When newly formed businesses are entering in to Internet world at very first time through their new websites, they are not ready to spend large amount of money as a Hosting expense. As a result of these businessmen directly check out for the cheapest form of web hosting services, and they decide to go for shared hosting.

Shared hosting

Different hosting companies provide their hosting services with different pricing and different set ups and configurations. The basic reason behind shared hosting is called as shared hosting because it is based on shared server resources, this means one server is parted in to hundreds of partitions which are used by hundreds of websites. All factors based on a server like operating system, disk space, random access memory (RAM), Central processing unit (CPU) are used commonly by all websites, surprisingly even bandwidth which is an important factor from webmaster’s point of vies is also shared as per demanding need of a particular website.

As it is a cheapest form of hosting anyone can find pricing options very quickly. It is also widely used in the form of cPanel Hosting because it comes with a control panel which is used to control email accounts, database, FTP, sub-domains website’s statistics and many other valuable features, these all features plays an important role in reviewing your website’s performance and the direction of progress it is doing. cPanel Hosting is a blessing for such webmasters who has a tight and limited budget for the conduction of their online operations.

Though many websites are sharing the same server in this kind of hosting type, surprisingly there is no limitation on disk-space, bandwidth or other features. The basic reason behind this is, very powerful and highly configured servers are used by hosting companies for their customers. Many hosting companies provided both options of limited disc-space and unlimited disk-space to their clients. Client has to choose the option considering his website’s need.

This hosting type is considered as a perfect choice for news blogs, because these type of blogs do not content any heavy data such as videos, audios and other flash object which comparatively need higher amount of bandwidth. If we compared Linux shared hosting with Windows shared hosting then we come to know that comparatively Linux hosting is a little bit cheaper than Windows hosting almost in all form of hosting, the main factor which affects on the high pricing of Windows hosting is the licensing cost. All of know that Linux is a free open-source platform. Surprisingly despite being cheaper than Windows Hosting Linux Hosting is capable of using system resources in better manner than Windows Hosting.

Till now we have seen all goodies of shared hosting but on the other side it has also some limitations and drawbacks of its own. As webmasters need to share the servers with other webmasters he has very limited access and control on that particular server. If any particular website consumes excess bandwidth provided to a shared server than it affects to other websites residing on the same server hens faces some accessibility issues. All websites hosted on a shared server also need to share a single IP address. Any malfunction performed by other website may affect your website’s performance due to sharing same server.

Share hosting made it possible to bring many small businesses on Internet and it also helped may people to do marketing of their products and services on the Internet.

Virtual private server (VPS) hosting: A virtual private server is a dedicated section of a server that is divided into hundreds of mini-servers. This type of hosting gives you complete control over the dedicated section of the server, which acts as your own operating system. Virtual web hosting offers the power and functionality of a dedicated server but at a lower cost.

Virtual private server (VPS) hosting

Virtual private server is often a great option for SaaS providers, game makers, programmers, companies that have outgrown their shared hosting, and any company who needs a secure and affordable backup environment.

Most companies offering virtual server hosting allow multiple dedicated IPs, unlimited domain hosting, and private name servers. Each virtual server is private, and access to hardware resources is managed by the “host” server. With virtual web hosting, you can use a web based interface that allows you to backup, manage, restore, and reinstall a virtual private server without technical support.

A virtual server will benefit you in terms of flexibility and security. This service can provide you with all the benefits of having your own server at an affordable price. Before you purchase a virtual web hosting plan, try to determine how much traffic your site will receive and then make sure that your hosting plan is big enough in bandwidth terms to suit your needs.

Virtual private servers have many advantages. First of all, they are less expensive than dedicated server plans. Secondly, operators maintain full administrative access to their section. Network infrastructures and hardware are maintained by the hosting provider. Most companies selling virtual web hosting offer a full set of tools to help you manage servers at any skill level.

Another advantage of virtual private servers is that they are more secure than dedicated servers. Because of its low cost and increased flexibility, virtual private server hosting is ideal for small businesses. A virtual private server uses a technique called virtualization to separate the hosting environment for each and every user on a shared system. Thus, a virtual private server protects the security of your website against the new generation of online threats.

Dedicated server hosting: Dedicated hosting is a website hosting environment that provides the highest level of resource allocation, privacy, and control. Dedicated servers are completely isolated from one another, so users get full access to configure their server anyway they want without affecting another user or being affected by the actions of other users.

Dedicated server hosting

With this type of hosting service, the client leases an entire server. There is no sharing the server with anyone else. This way, the individual or organization can select the operating system and hardware, get better performance, and get added security.

Dedicated hosting servers are kept in data centers that are similar to the collocation facilities which many important service providers use to connect to one another with back-up power sources. systems.

There are numerous different hosting service providers available that offer different grades of value. They differ in the different types of service that they offer. Some hosting companies off dedicated server management as an add-on service, some offer disaster recovery solutions, and others offer higher security and performance upgrades like data recovery and back-up.

Best Dedicated Server Hosting Providers

I’ve carried out extensive hosting research to find the top six dedicated server hosting providers. I’ve painstakingly cross-referenced uptime stats, CPU cores, bandwidth, RAM, prices, and help and support to find the very best in the hosting business.

The results are in, these are the best dedicated servers:

  1. Bluehost – Best overall for privacy and guaranteed resources are the primary benefits of both VPS hosting and Dedicated hosting. It is also value for money.
  2. HostGator – Best overall for dedicated server hosting.
  3. InMotion – Best for tech-heavy websites.
  4. A2 Hosting – Best customer service.
  5. iPage – Best for nothing, but okay at everything.
  6. DreamHost – Best storage space.

Bluehost is a solid first option, with the best value plans around with the ultimate in speed, flexibility, and control.

Bluehost has become the first option because you can add more VPS, or even Shared or Dedicated hosting services to your account and manage it all in one place, and you can also access and control everything from the operating system to Apache and easily manage all of your websites, domains, emails, resources, and more from one central location.

Cloud hosting: Cloud hosting makes applications and websites accessible using cloud resources. Unlike traditional hosting, solutions are not deployed on a single server. Instead, a network of connected virtual and physical cloud servers hosts the application or website, ensuring greater flexibility and scalability. It enables the clients to host their websites in a more powerful, reliable, and scalable way. It is provided to customers through a system with multiple servers in addition to some virtual resources. In accordance to Virtualization, a cloud has the limitless processing power, and users have the ability to scale up and can add new servers. Cloud servers are tuned together to overcome problems like network fluctuations, traffic overload, server drop down, server crashes. The use of multiple server increases the processing power of the website rather depending upon a single server.

Cloud hosting

In addition to the concept of cloud website hosting server, it also means that the website will not experience any downtimes as it is the case with traditional server hosting. Cloud server hosting is extremely useful because it does not restrict people to the limit of application and hardware. The main advantage of cloud website hosting is the reliability that comes from the use of a group of servers rather than just relying on one. Even the space will be limited in traditional hosts that will slow down your site. However, with cloud server hosting, you will not encounter any of these problems because users will get extra power and resources and with this you can successfully run your business over the internet and enjoy unhindered connectivity.

Cloud website hosting is best for small business, growing business, and mid-enterprises.

Some features of cloud servers are-

– Data redundancy: It is one of the most loved features of Cloud Hosting, as the host saves your data on multiple machines at a time. In case a single machine crash or unable to respond, you will be able to recall your data from other machines without losing anything. The cloud will keep your data secure, so that you can get it any moment, you want.

– Financially feasible or Cost effective: Cloud hosting is low in cost and compatible for high performance and working. Cloud website hosting is very much affordable than conventional hosting services. The best part of this service is you are not bound to pay any hefty amount on monthly or annual basis. You should only pay for the amount of resources used. It is a feasible solution for those who cannot predict the amount of resources; they need to run their websites.

– Technological compatibility: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), it involves the principles of Cloud hosting to provide hardware-based service to the clients. This includes disk storage along with virtual servers. Most of the leading vendors across the world use these IAAS services. Here in cloud website hosting, the concept of a virtual server cloud simply means that you can have multiple platforms in one single cloud. It is possible to use ASP and PHP together if you have chosen cloud website hosting on a single server.

– Backup and Security: Cloud server can be used to manage commercially viable software and network to gain its access. In case of disaster management and data retrieval, the cloud server is capable of mending it.

Managed hosting: Managed service is one that provides businesses with a complete package of a dedicated server to host their website, software, the set up and the ongoing maintenance of their server. Therefore, allowing the business to completely outsource their hosting requirements.

Managed hosting

At the heart of the managed service package is the dedicated server. With a dedicated server, the client uses (most often rents) an entire distinct server within a data centre on which to host their website. This server is not physically shared by any other website or client and therefore will not suffer from performance issues that result from sharing, such as, load handling, malware or physical damage during the maintenance of the sharing website’s hosting.

A managed service will also benefit from server colocation whereby the server is physically housed away from the businesses own premises and within a purpose built data centre. These data centres are usually located on the internet backbone (offering high degrees of connectivity) and have advanced systems in place to preserve the performance and up-time of the server, such as fire protection systems, security and back up servers/cables/power.

In practice managed hosting can incorporate a variety of different services offered by the provider that distinguish it as being proactively managed, such as, advanced levels of server configuration (which the business itself may not be capable of achieving), software/operating system updates, malware protection/scans, performance monitoring and assistance in the deployment stages. What’s more providers will often include a certain level of client support access as part of their service – sometimes even 24 hour telephone support.

A managed service in particular gives businesses the flexibility to respond to changing business needs. For example, in a scenario where a website is likely to receive abnormally high levels of traffic at short notice the managed hosting provider will be able to offer bespoke solutions that may have proved too costly or technically out of the reach of a business managing their own hosting.

Colocation hosting: Colocation hosting is a type of service a data center offers, in which it leases space and provides housing for servers. The clients own the servers and claim full authority over the hardware and software. However, the storage facility is responsible for maintaining a secure server environment.

Colocation hosting

The advantages of colocation can vary depending on the needs of the business. Naturally, the biggest advantage to using a center of colocation comes from the availability of bandwidth. Low-cost bandwidth for businesses is typically limited. So, bandwidth using a single server in a colocation center can provide higher speeds, but for a low cost.

A colocation center has a high level of protection against outages. This can be beneficial during harsh weather where power can be lost for hours or even days. When a business relies on in-house servers, it will likely lose power during outages and be unable to operate. With a center of colocation, a power outage at the physical business location will not impact the power at the center of colocation. In addition, it has redundant sources of power, so if one fails; another is there to fill in. Quality colocation centers will also have backup generators or UPS units. So, a company will still be up and running while the power is out.

Companies can either install their own equipment at a center or rent it. If they choose to use a colocation for center’s servers, the center handles all upgrades, etc. Therefore, the facility will upgrade the servers if it feels there is not enough memory or the server hardware is out of date. That means the business does not have to worry about upgrading and paying the costs when it needs to expand its data storage.

As a business grows, it may need to move into a larger facility. Storing data in-house can cause a company to shut down its servers and, thus, its business for relocation. This can be devastating for a business that relies heavily on its IT infrastructure. With colocation, that business can relocate while leaving its servers running the entire time.

Unlike the minimal security a business likely provides for its servers, colocation centers are built with security in mind. These locations are surrounded by physical security barriers as well as digital. That means that the data stored at a center of colocation is more secure than the typical on-site storage. Furthermore, the center employs onsite staff to maintain the security and integrity of the system around the clock.

Email Marketing: It’s Not as Difficult as You Think

Email marketing is the way toward sending optimized business messages through email to focused consumers.

Email marketing strategies commonly seek to achieve one or more of three primary objectives, to build loyalty, trust, or brand awareness.

Emails marketing drive traffic, and without a doubt has been proven to be an effective channel to reach out to consumers and increase sales. In addition to increasing sales, sending out emails is also a way to reach out to people and build good relationships.

Types of email marketing

There are several types of email marketing. In here I will talk about welcome emails, newsletter and thank you email.

1. Welcome emails

A welcome email is the first impression a company makes with a new customer. Welcome emails have higher engagement levels compared to other types of emails. As such, they give a business the perfect opportunity to engage new subscribers and convince them to act.

Below is an example of standout Welcome Email

But how?

This includes a sequence of emails that you automatically send to people after they sign up for your email list. The moment after an opt-in is when your new subscriber is most excited. That’s important because it introduces subscribers to your way of doing things, giving them a good reason to read and engage with your content. That makes a welcome email series your best chance to introduce yourself, show people how you can help and even make a sale.

Essential Elements

Creating product or brand impact

Regardless of the primary purpose of your welcome email, it will have an impact on and be impacted by, the strength of your company’s brand or product. If the impact is good, your email sequence will enhance credibility and create a sense of trust with your consumer, which are major components of brand or product equity.

In this case, on your web page where someone is about to opt-in with their email information, it must be clearly stated what the web sites main objectives are and the value proposition (benefits) someone will receive once they opt-in for that information.

Adding intelligence to your design

Creating an effective email marketing sequence requires that you start with a clear understanding of consumer reality.

What is consumer reality? It is what the consumer is thinking or expecting when they open your email. NOT what you assume will happen.

Driving the purchase

Even the valued content you include in your email messages may not be enough to drive profits. The key to a completely optimized email program is to remember that the main purpose of your email is to drive action at another location: a physical location, a virtual location, or even a location someone has visualized in their mind.

The most essential element here being: The Branding and Content in your emails must match the same type of Branding and Content on the final destination pages. The entire user experience needs to be consistent in order to maintain interest and action.

Important facts to keep in mind when crafting your welcome email

  • Showcase your brand or product
  • Say thanks
  • Give them a little gift

2. Newsletter emails

Newsletters are very popular and are usually sent out on a consistent schedule. They often contain the company’s blog content, upcoming events, and any updates about your company that would be of interest to your subscriber.

Below is an example of Newsletter email

3. Thank-You Email

The lifeblood of a business comes from good customer service, and thank-you marketing emails are compelling and rewarding to patrons. Customers feel real value when a business takes the time to respond to their experience and ensure that all expectations were met. Thank-you emails should be customized to the consumer and include current and future offers, along with a small token of gratitude, such as a discount on the next purchase.

Below is an example of Thank-You email

So with email marketing, you can build customer journeys designed for conversion and naturally turn anonymous connections into leads, fans, and customers.

Creating beautiful and responsive emails you must consider the following:

  • Create stunning emails optimized for any device
  • Automate email delivery

Email marketing tools

There are plenty of free email marketing tools online. However, there are a few things to look out for when selecting an email marketing service:

  • Are email templates included for free? And are the designs attractive?
  • Does the free plan include landing pages and what are the designs like? (These can be very useful if you don’t have a website yet)
  • Is email automation included? And can I segment my contacts into different lists?
  • Will the reports offered give me the data I need?
  • Is there a limit to the number of forms I can create?
  • Are transactional emails included (if that’s something you need)
  • Most often, the provider will include its own logo in your email, you might want to see what this actually looks like as some are more subtle than others
  • What other tools does it integrate with? (Especially worth considering if you have an ecommerce site)
  • What kind of support do you get? Mailchimp, for example, is notoriously difficult to get in contact with on the free plan

I’ve put some of them for you below!

Product Launch Plan

There are few things more upsetting than launching a product and finding that no one is interested in it. So how do you go about ensuring that it will be the hit it deserves to be?

1. Ask the Audience!

If you already have a successful mailing list or social media channel, then why not ask your audience what they’d like to see? This can make a huge difference to your eventual success because you can ensure you’re making a product that there is demand for! Though some o your friends will be your biggest cheerleaders, but that doesn’t mean they’re helping. They need to poke holes in your ideas, which you can fix before taking a product to market. Resist the urge to be defensive. And use the opportunity to strengthen your product.

2. Run a Beta Test

Letting just a few people in on the production phase of your product is a great way to ensure that you get feedback about the product. Moreover, it builds a lot of excitement and buzz and you’ll get people discussing the product, which is precisely your aim.

But beta testing is just as valuable for your marketing plan as it is for developing and refining your product. It can connect you with a loyal customer base before your product even hits the market, build buzz around your product, and give you a better sense of how your planned marketing campaigns may play out.

Look at the analytics and audience responses you collect in market testing to tweak the wording, visual and design elements (such as clickable call-to-action buttons and streamlined navigation), or deployment strategies of your marketing campaigns. This will help ensure that your campaigns are successful when you reach out to a wider audience.

3. Press Release

Writing and pitching product launch press release is no different from any other press release.

You still need the standard press release format.

You still need to be pitching to relevant journalists & bloggers interested in your topic/industry.

You still need to remember about trying to establish a human connection with whoever you’re writing to, and not mass mailing everybody.

Stick to a standard product launch press release format

Include the following in your product press release:

  • Headline – an attention-grabbing headline about your product. Make it count!
  • Lead – a brief overview of the story, including answers to the questions: Who? What? When? Why? With what effect?
  • Dateline – to confirm that you’re providing the most up-to-date information.
  • Body – an explanation of the information provided earlier in the lead, starting from the most newsworthy info about your product and finishing with secondary details.
  • Company info – a short paragraph about your company and its products to help journalists understand the nature of the business and make writing about it easier.
  • Media contact information – the author or company’s/agency’s contact information.

Find journalists and media influencers interested in your specific product

A key factor in getting your press release picked up by the media is pitching to relevant journalists and bloggers—people that are interested in writing about your type of product.

Write a press release headline that gets your product noticed

The headline of your press release (and also the subject of your media pitch email) is crucial to getting your press release read or even email opened.

I recommend spending a bit more time on it and making sure it’s attention-grabbing and mentions your product’s USP (unique selling proposition).

Add exciting features and benefits that’ll make people stop what they’re doing and read what your product has to offer. Try including numbers in your headline/e-mail subject – they’re proven to improve open rates.

Remember – your headline needs something that’ll get your audience intrigued. Stay away from boring titles such as [Company] Launches “New Product”.

Include high-quality photos and videos displaying your new product

Unless you have a boring, non-visual product, adding photos & videos to your product press release is an absolute must.

If you want your product to get noticed, you should support it with relevant pictures, photos, videos, logos, and even animated gifs.

However, remember to avoid attachments as much as possible.

That means you shouldn’t send out emails with any attached images or videos (especially large files), resulting in a gigantic and possibly confusing email that will clog up journalists’ inboxes.

But what if you want to send out a press release that contains lots of high-quality and high-res images or videos (and because it’s a way to make your product more attractive for the press—why wouldn’t you)?

4. Get Affiliates Involved

One of the best things you can do for any product launch is to get an army of affiliates help you promote it. To ensure that they want to sign up, encourage them with a high amount of commission, free marketing materials they can use and contests with cash prizes for the best promoters.

5. Use a Countdown Timer

Making sure people can actually see your clock ticking down is a great way to make the excitement all the more palpable!

6. Mailing List’s Are Perfect for a Product Launch

Launching a product is an amazing way to build hype and excitement for whatever it is you intend to sell, prior to actually taking it live. This can cause a massive influx of sales and essentially help you to significantly increase your momentum that will carry on throughout the sales process going forward.

So how do you make sure that people are excited about your launch? What’s the best way to build hype? Where should you be promoting your upcoming launch?

One of the very best options is to create a mailing list and to use that to promote your product. Read on to see why this is such a great option.

7. Squeeze Page

To build your mailing list, you’re going to create a squeeze page. A squeeze page is simply a page on your website where you convince people to sign up for your future emails. That is the one purpose of this page and so you will do everything you can to convince people it’s a good idea to subscribe.

And often this means using an ‘incentive’.

That incentive will generally be a free eBook or perhaps money off future products. Either way, it is something you’re providing for free in exchange for the contact details of the people signing up.

This can be very effective at getting more people to join but the risk with a squeeze page is that it can end up meaning people sign up only for the free product and aren’t really interested in your subsequent emails. You’ll know this has happened if you find yourself with excruciatingly low open rates.

8. Take Care of Your Customer Service

Over the past few years, customers have gotten used to getting answers from companies  24/7 so set up a system to help them whenever they need it.

Customer service is most likely one of the areas in which careful employee selection is most important. Your company’s ambassadors should be patient and empathetic in order to offer your client the experience they deserve.

9. Prepare your FAQ Before Launching Your Product

When you launch a new product or service, users usually have a bunch of questions about how it works and what they can do with it. The more innovative it is, the more you will have to explain it. Our recommendation is to get as much as possible done and prepared ahead of time by creating a complete and easy to find “Frequently Asked Questions” section. Ideally, encourage users to visit it before reaching out to you with their questions and make it as easy as possible to access.

You can even include FAQs in your social content as a way to get ahead of new user questions and share how your product works.

10. Consider public feedback post-launch

Now that the product is available, brace yourself for customer reviews. Yelp, Google and other sites made for customer feedback are the modern-day consumer reports. No matter how successfully you’ve introduced your product to the world via a comprehensive product launch plan, public perception of your brand can be brutal if your organization overpromised and underdelivered.

If you receive a negative review, be empathetic and always respond with a positive greeting and provide a short-term solution to address the consumer’s immediate concerns and a long-term solution to ensure future customers won’t encounter the same issues. Addressing reviews and feedback whenever possible demonstrates how invested you are in your product and your customers’ happiness, which, in the end, will result in more loyalty and devotion to your brand.
